Nice, quick getaway to the country

The tour was quite short - perfect if you have a limited amount of time in the Netherlands. If you have more time, opt for the longer tour. The tour bus guide was friendly. My only complaint is that every thing he said he then translated it into Spanish and Dutch. Therefore, the talking part could have been less and there could have been more time to tour. I suggest maybe Englih only tours or pre-recording the talking points so everyone doesn't have to listen to 3 different languages being spoken.

Nice to see Zaanse Schans

It was nice to see the town of Zaanse Schans and ofcourse the Cheese Farm, Clog Museum, and the many other vendors, stalls, and Windmills. Value for money it was quite reasonable and the tour started and ended as described. The only issue was that the actual guide managing the tour essentially vanished after the Clog Museum demonstration had completed! We couldn't find her - or members of our tour group, we were not given any maps or places to meet, after some level of frustration and disappointment we ended up moving around at our own pace on within the area but were always making sure our tour bus and driver wouldn't leave us stranded. The Tour Guide needs to look out for her paying guests to ensure they are not abandoned during tour or at the very least can contact her should there be a split.

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit but found the cost of entering the windmills whcih for us would have been 20 euros each windmill adding in total to 80 euros is the only reason we have not gifven a top rating for the visit.

The tour is well organized. It was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam for the day. The village is beautiful and the demonstrations are very informative.

This was great!!! The clog tour and the cheese tour were very quick - maybe 10 minutes each at most but it was very interesting. The rest of the time was free time in the village - very, very interesting...

Great experience!

My family of 5 took an afternoon tour. The guide and driver were so great! The shoe making was fun to watch, the cheese making was a little awkward with an older Chinese woman who didn’t speak very clear English. It was disappointing to only have one Free windmill to go into and have to pay $5 (each) to enter all the others. It was pouring rain, we ended up being soaked to the bone, but still had a good time.

overall Good tour

tour was okay, really it was a bus to the windmills then left on your own. the guide was nice and gave us good information on bus, then we were taken to see how thy make the clogs (10 minutes). then a small demonstration on how they make the cheese (5 minutes). then we were left to walk around the place, there is a museum but you have to pay to enter, only one windmill was free to enter you had to pay to get into the rest. to be honest you could get a bus there and do your own thing..

Excellent day out. Delayed start due to the public transport strike but this did not detract from the wonderful time we had. The coach journey was pleasant and the tour operator looked after everyone during the journey and at the venue. Would def recommend this day out. We went with our children and we all enjoyed it!

Misleading Tour Description
Samuel G
, Apr 2019
Information on the event implied there were three separate venues. Actually it was one stop at a manufactured tourist trap. Our guide, Ava, was late to the party, and her narrative in three languages became boring. Some of the information was interesting and the windmills were beautiful.
