Roundabout Atlanta Sightseeing City Tour

I actually experienced the Atlanta Black History Tour bc Roundabout was canceled. Omar was our tour guide for our intimate group of 6; My husband and I who are from Chicago and a family of four adults from Phoenix, AZ. Omar is not simply a tour guide, he is a historian, a great storyteller and yes, a 'JourneyAmbassador'. The journey was VERY Informative, greatly inspiring and unexpectedly emotional. I am so very proud of Black Atlantans and I appreciate all they sacrificed for Black people in all of America.

My tour was really great the 1st time so I decided to book another tour. My tour guide OMAR again was awesome.

The tour was very informative and got the chance to get a general idea of Atlanta. Definitely recommend it if you want to visit the main spots in the city. Thanks Omar.

Thank you so much, Omar, we had a fantastic time and learned a lot about Atlanta - you made us fall in love with this vibrant and fascinating city! We travel a lot and take a city tour in every city we stop. In the last 12 months, we took over 25 city tours, and this one is hands-down the best - if we could give it 6 stars instead of 5, we would! Omar knows literally everything about the city, is really engaging and super fun to listen to, and was even able to adjust the tour on the fly to emphasize the aspects we were particularly interested in. When I booked the tour, I was worried that 4 hours may be a bit too long, but it is so interesting and so much fun that we didn't want it to end and over-stayed, spending 4.5 hours with Omar instead. The van is super comfortable and warm, you get water and snacks, we had several bathroom breaks, and felt very well looked after, which was really important to me because my dad is 80 and my mom has a number of health issues. The tour offers a great mix of different things: From visiting Atlanta Olympics sites and seeing upscale residential areas in Buckhead to visiting the biggest drive-in in the world, The Varsity, seeing the vibrant mid-town, and learning about the city's baseball legends and seeing where Babe Ruth's record was broken by Hank Aaron. The highlight for us was visiting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Historic District and seeing his resting place and his birth house - it was so very special. Whatever additional questions we asked (and we ask a lot!), Omar knew the answer to everything, and he is clearly very passionate about the city, which really shows and makes a huge difference. Two days later, we are still buzzing, my parents are still thanking me for finding this treasure, and we are so very thankful for this unforgettable experience. Next time we are in Atlanta, we are planning to take Omar's Black History Tour - I am sure it is fantastic too! Thank you so much for giving us such a special day! Anna, Paul, and Lauren

We really enjoyed the tour. It was very, very interesting, informative and a great experience!! We learned so great things regarding African American culture in Georgia.

We really enjoyed this experience. When in a new place we like to take an overview tour to see what's there and what we might want to go back to, Omar gave us (it was just my wife and I) a great time in Atlanta. We got history, culture, a chance to be architectural critics, a cemetery tour, lunch at the Varsity and had a chance to educate Omar on our home town, We would do it again.

I highly recommend this tour if you are limited on time in Atlanta. The tour covers so much of the rich history that Atlanta has to offer. You will not be disappointed. Our guide Omar was outstanding at bringing the history of Atlanta to life.

The tour was outstanding. Omar was a great tour guide. We felt the southern hospitality right from the start. My wife and I felt were only in Atlanta for a few days but this tour helped us feel like we saw everything. I highly recommend this tour if you are short on time but want to see what Atlanta had to offer. Worth the money.
