Ran out of time!

The special exhibit on Pearl Harbor was remarkable. We visited on June 26th which happened to be the last day of the exhibit. So glad we were able to take it in. Reviews indicated 3-4 hours needed for the tour, no way! More like 3-4 DAYS! So much to see and read. Guess it depends on how involved you want to get in taking in all exhibits. The 4D movie was great. Some parts truly bring it right to you with sounds and physical effects.

Loved the movie and museum. I was in New Orleans with high school friends, we are all 69 years old. Many of us had fathers and uncles who fought in World War 2.

Road to Berlin and the Pearl Harbor exhibit. These exhibits brought WWII to life. Loved the dog tags to find a soldiers story.

My Day at the Museum
Hilary_M
, Jun 2022
The Day of Infamy is amazing! Every exhibit touched me. However, I was very disappointed that a woman who helped end the war much earlier by being a daring spy was not included (Virginia Hall). Shameful to not give credit to a heroine who rushed her life for years!

Highly recommended! Tips: go with a tour, (too much to see on your own); wear long sleeves (very cold inside), plan to walk a lot; eat before going (good restaurant but that took our time).

Greatest Detail Oriented WWII Museum in the USA!

The 4D movie and the interactive WWII life stories of the various men and women who served was superbly done! The different floors/rooms were so organized in retelling the history of the war, it left one truly informed of what really happened. No details were left out for one to imagine what it looked like, well done, best I've seen and toured! I could have easily spent two days to read, interact and explore this museum, a true historical gem! You have to tour this museum to appreciate the spectacular sights, sounds and feel of WWII. You will leave with a greater respect for all the men and women who served and currently serve in the military! Thank you to all who were involved in creating this museum!!

The 4D movie was very informative and entertaining! I wish we would have gotten a map of the museum, it would have helped us navigate around. The staff around the museum has a ton of information, be sure to talk to them too.

The 4D movie Beyond all Boundaries was incredible. I also loved the special D-Day Exhibit. We didn’t get to see everything in one day, but I would definitely go back if I get the chance.

The introductory movie is an excellent way to start the visit in the proper frame of mind. We then toured the Road to Berlin and Road to Tokyo exhibits. The movies were very well matched to the displays and provided an excellent view of the horrors of war.

My brother fought in WW2 as a rear gunner and radio operator out of Pensacola out into the Atlantic searching for enemy targets like subs. Saw one of the planes in the museum. He was 22 years older and I appreciate even more today for his service.
