A museum must do!!

Donna made our visit to the museum much more engaging! We all learned so much. We touched on a little art from many different eras. After the tour we felt more confident to revisit areas of the museum and study more on our own.

Megan’s knowledge of history and art made it a memorable experience. Her slides on her iPad were valuable additions.

I highly recommend this tour. Often our museum visits involve seeing a few famous works then we wander a bit aimlessly around, unsure what we should focus on, until everyone is tired. So, for our first post-pandemic vacation I opted to book a private National Gallery tour for myself, my spouse, and our 26 & 15 year old sons. Leigh did an incredible job. Pre-tour communication was excellent. She took us on a whirlwind tour of the gallery highlights, focusing on areas we had expressed interest in and introducing works and artists we knew nothing about. She integrated history, culture, trade, and anecdotes about artists and their subjects in a conversational way that was engaging and informative. The time flew and we enjoyed every minute. When your 15 year old son says that a 2.5 hour art gallery tour with his parents was "great" ... well, you know the guide is someone special. Many thanks, Leigh. Our visit with you to the National Gallery was the highlight of our vacation. Can't wait to return to learn about 20th century art!

I would have still been wandering without Donna....

Donna was our tour guide, she had incredible history and back stories on the art work...we learned so much in our time together (it became a little comical when people started following us around the museum trying to listen in on her insights). The museum is HUGE, we would have missed so much incredible art without Donnas guidance. Seriously, don't try and go this museum alone or you will miss out on some amazing art. Thanks Donna!!

Good overview

This tour highlighted the important pieces of art in a chronological order. The guide knew exactly the location of these paintings in the gallery, knew about the artist and the meaning of the piece of art. It saved us a tremendous amount of time. She had a good knowledge of both art history and the gallery.
