Our tour was filled with amazing food with great stories and pieces of history mixed in. Jason, our tour guide, worked hard to make the experience a wonderful one.

Jim and Jason were fantastic. It was a great three hour tour that mixed local favorites with history. We recommend to friends if they visit. Would look to do thier beer tour if I’m back in the future.

A good mix of history and gastronomical delight
, Jun 2022
It was a fun tour indeed. Georgetown is the place to go to savor the possibilities of various types of food from donuts to French dessert. We had a tour guide who was knowledgeable with the history of the place. Great weather and a small group added to this wonderful experience!

Soneka is the best!
, May 2022
Soneka was an amazing guide — we really enjoyed her. And the food was delicious! I think the District Donut and the falafel were my favorites, but everything was good.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Denise! We love getting the chance to showcase hidden gems like District Doughnut and that feel-good falafel from Falafel Inc!
, May 2022
The guide was great. Food was just ok. I love the mission of supporting local restaurants but the food needs to be better. Meatloaf doesn’t work but other choices were ok.

We understand that not everyone is going to love all of our tastings, but we just hope to be able to tell the story of DC through its flavors and hopefully expand people's palates in the process. Thank you for your feedback!
Georgetown visit !
, May 2022
We enjoyed the foodie tour of Georgetown. First time there and definitely a must see/must do! Loved the walking tour and all the stories. I’m now on the hunt for a good falafel in CA 😊
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Brad, good luck finding falafel that can beat Falafel Inc's traditional recipe! Thank you for a nice review!
Great experience

Georgetown Food and Fun Tour
, Apr 2022
Jason was a terrific guide! So fun and knowledgeable. The food was wonderful and the stops we made brought Georgetown to life. Highly recommend!

Thank you for your recommendation, Kim! We're definitely lucky to have Jason as a part of our team.
Great tour of history and food.
, Apr 2022
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. I took my 12 and 13 year old and went with my sister and niece and we had a great outing. I’ve been to Georgetown many times but I learned a lot of new things and saw new areas I had never been to before. It was fun to see jfk’s first two houses before he became president and to hear many other stories behind the city.

We're glad we could show you a new side to Georgetown, Sheila. Thank you for sharing your family's experience!
Walk and eat your way through Georgetown
, Apr 2022
The guide, Anne, was fantastic - friendly, organized, very interesting and tells a great story. There was a lot of food and it was all delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a fun way to learn about Georgetown!!

Thank you for you recommendation, Margaret! We're glad Anne could feed your mind along with your body on our tour.
Great Introduction to Georgetown
, Mar 2022
I would highly recommend this tour to gain a little taste of Georgetown including a part of it’s history. This was our first time to Georgetown, so it was a great way to get oriented to the neighborhood. We loved our tour guide, Soneka, and recommend her. She was very knowledgeable and fun! I had mixed up my dates for our tour and wasn’t really supposed to go that day, but she allowed my family to join without skipping a beat! Other tour companies probably would not have been so gracious for the inconvenience. I was very appreciative and we were able to enjoy our tour.
icon Response from Host , Mar 2022
It's never an inconvenience to make our guests happy, and we would have been glad to have you with us on any date, Emily! You and your family were the sweetest guests, so please feel free to come back and visit us any time. Thank you so much for the kind review!
Great tour!
, Feb 2022
Anne was a great tour guide! Even though we are local, we learned so much! We will take this tour again!

We love getting the chance to give locals a new appreciation for their home. Thanks for the commendation, Angie!
Fine but did not wow us!
, Sep 2021
Loved learning about the origins of Georgetown down by the canal and then about JFK's era there. Food not that great. Would prefer more of a progressive approach to the food rather than starting with a donut, and having 2 sandwiches along the way. Perhaps an appetizer, soup or salad, a main course and then dessert. Did not enjoy eating the falafel sandwich while standing on the street. Would prefer to be seated for all meals. Very much appreciated this company's approach to donating meals to the community from its proceeds and paying full price for food rather than seeking "deals" in support of the Georgetown restaurant community.

Hi Nancy - I'm very glad to know that there were aspects of our tour which you appreciated and loved! That said, while we have utmost confidence in our tastings and our format, we know that there will always be someone who does not 100% agree. We know that some food tours are "progressive", while our goal is to share tastings that contribute to the greater story regarding the evolution of the neighborhood. Thank you for joining us and we hope you continue taking food tours when you travel!

Such a great tour given by Katie. She was so knowledgeable about the the history of George Town. The food was good especially knowing the history behind some of the restaurants we ate at. My favorite stop was at the coffee shop.

Perfect way to see Georgetown. Mary kept us rolling along with great information and food. Would recommend for adults. Never felt pushed or uncomfortable with a mix of hills and stops.

Loved our guide he was very knowledgeable of the Georgetown. But, it was more of a historical tour than a food tour.

Hi Jordan~ Glad you loved your guide in Georgetown, but I'm sorry that you didn't appreciate the history we share on tour. We tell the history of neighborhoods through food and carefully select our tastings so that they contribute to the story of the area we are touring. Rather than just offering random tastings, our goal is provide plenty of food while connecting each dish to how the area has grown and changed. Thank you for joining us and I hope you'll continue to take food tours in other places that you visit.

Food and History - A Great Combination!

Our tour guide Eli provided an excellent history and culinary experience on our recent walking tour of Georgetown. This was our first visit to Washington and we had a great time learning about some of the history of Georgetown (and early Washington) as well as having the opportunity to taste a variety of culinary treats. We often do food tours when visiting a city that is new to us and this did not disappoint.
