Comfort for mobility limited people. Jason (driver) was great!

Amazing experience!!! Let me just share it from the perspective of someone who accompanied mobility limited person (my mom). We came a little early but the line was already very long. There was a gentleman who was checking the tickets of people in the line and I asked him about arrangements for people with walkers/strollers (I don’t think it will be possible to bring a whole wheelchair into the bus, my mom was using a walker). He brought us and another family with mobility disabled child to the bus and the driver used the crane to bring my mom onto the bus. Family members were also allowed to go in first and sit with their loved ones. The bus made 3 stops (20-30 min each) and at every location they bring the crane out so that everyone can go outside and take a walk (without just locking the disabled people inside the bus for the whole trip). Our driver - Jason - was a great great guide and just a very nice man. I see a lot of negative reviews about trips not matching to what was expected, but seeing the crowds and the long lines around all memorials and monuments - please try to understand that all these drivers can’t control everything and they have to improvise as they go. Sometimes they have to change the routes or length of stay at locations: not because they want to rip off the customers but to adjust to always changing and hectic conditions in DC. Jason also made 3 full circles around Lincoln memorial before he could find a SAFE spot to stop and let the passengers out. And there are always passengers who are late or who forget the number of the bus or miss the meeting point. Last but not least - I was worried that starting the tour at 7:30 won’t really be a true ‘moonlight’ tour in July (when days are so long), but I was very wrong. We started sharp at 7:30 and by the second stop, it was all dark and the whole tour lasted till 10:15. After dark, the driver also came around to the same locations to give us a chance to see the places that we saw in daylight. See the pictures!

Good Tour- but felt rushed at stops

Wonderful tour guide- Cam the Man was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The only complaint we had was the stops were very rushed- only had time to do a very quick walk through the monuments- and at one stop we missed out on the Vietnam Memorial due to time constraints. Other than that- it was a very enjoyable tour- very pretty to see everything lit up at night.

Our Guide, Lucky, was great! 3 stops was just enough and the narration was excellent in between. We got to the Lincoln Memorial at dusk and the glow from the Washington Monument in the reflecting pool was magical.

Mike our Tour Guide

We had a group of 13. Our tour guide was Mike using his 514. Mike was very knowledgeable, he knew so much history and was very informative. I learned so much. The tour was however was about 2.5 hours. Seems like a long time, but with driving in DC the tour didn’t take us to much places. We stopped 3 times, and had about 20 minutes per stop to rush through the monuments. This tour would be great to get a quick view of the sites, and great if you have a tour guide like Mike. He was able to fill in he 2.5 hours with very so much history that it gave me goose bumps. Great job Mike. Thank you!
